Best effort, in writing

This site works hard to be true and correct. Here is exactly what that promise covers, who does the writing, and what to do when something is wrong.

The promise, and its limits

Every number on this site is checked against primary sources — official fee schedules, cardholder agreements, help-center pages — and stamped with the date it was last verified. That's the best-effort promise: true and correct as of the stamp, with the receipts linked. The limit: card programs change their terms without warning, and a page that was right on its verification date can be stale by the time you read it. Confirm the current terms with the provider before you sign up or move money.

Written with AI, on purpose

The research and writing here are done by AI, directed and published by me — Matt, the one human here (about the site). The AI reads the primary sources, pulls the numbers, drafts the review, and links to references wherever a claim can be sourced. When a number can't be verified against a primary source, the page says so instead of rounding up to confidence. The full process — research, adversarial fact-checking, scheduled re-verification — is documented on the methodology page.

That process catches things a skim-read misses, and it can also be wrong in ways a human wouldn't be. Read with that in mind, and check the verification dates — they're printed on every review.

Spotted something untrue?

Email hello@cryptocardguy.com with the page and the claim. Real errors get fixed and stamped with a correction date — never silently edited.

Crypto Card Guy is unofficial and independent — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any card issuer or protocol it covers. Some outbound links are referral links that pay this site a commission at no extra cost to you. Each one is disclosed where it appears, and the complete list of relationships lives on the disclosure page.

Not financial advice

Everything here is research and opinion, published for information. Crypto products can lose money, cards get discontinued, and terms change. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
